Started painting my OEM M3 side mirror baseplates and mirror housings. Driver’s side first.

I always use this method once it’s in the air. Known a few people that weren’t so lucky.

    Replaced jack pads

This is a Texas car, no rust. But, you have to look everywhere on the E46s due to age. In this instance gaskets on the pads fail due to age and allow dirt to accumulate in the seating/rocker panels.

Better check yours and replace ASAP.

    Cheers.

END OF OFHG CAMPAIGN - Been a little down about the 05 Imola and summer of oil filter housing gasket leaks that started in the spring with what I thought would be preventative maintenance while replacing the alternator. Been several weeks now since last attempt and the world inside the engine bay is nice and dry. Oddly the fix seemed to be switching to the Mahle brand gasket which did seem slightly more substantial and flexible than whatever I ordered off Pelican Parts. I'm trying to figure out what brand I ordered months ago but the reviews for all of the non-BMW brands seem positive. So, just could have been a combination of my car, a particular brand of gasket and me. Now to tackle the adaptive headlights that go left when I turn right . . .

Great news, congrats on getting that thorn! Good luck with the headlights, keep us posted.

Tightened up the driveshaft. Really easy fixes are the best.

Nice, I might replace my CSB soon as well. How was the install? How did it feel before vs. now with the new part?
