Flickr Vs. Photobucket Vs. ??? Picture Quality

I have both Flickr and Imgur. never done a side by side comparison. But I've been very pleased with imgur. Easy to upload, access and use + great quality.

That's a pretty significant difference. Look at all the detail lost in the kidney and lower grills on the last shot.

I stopped using Picassa for that same reason. Flickr definitely has the edge with picture quality but I just never liked their user interface so I'm not really using anything right now.

at least I can see Flickr thru the firewall at work. No love with Imgur or PB.

I placed the PB pics first then immediately followed by pics I have from Flkr..... this way you can easily make side-by-side comparison of the pics... (I didn't bother messing with my license plates on my Flkr pics)

Looks like PB reduces the exposure a bit. On the pictures so far in this study, Flicker does make the car seam brighter. On the other hand, if we had a blue sky with a nice cloud pattern, we may see far more detail in the sky or direct background using PB. You will also find about the same variation in different monitors or personal devices Eg.. phones/pads & tablets. Viewing browsers Ex.. Internet Exploder, Fire Fox, Safari also give about the same variation. And as for the current results, Flicker does take the win.

Man, PB completely killed the quality of my photos. I don't know why its so bad!
