I don't know how far away it is, but I once took measurements with a sound meter. At 50 feet it was high 80's for decibel levels at redline. We also did passes and it never exceeded 90dB.

Our sound limit at my local autox is also 90 or 91dB (can't remember) and I've never got called out on it. That is the same meter we used to record my sound measurements.

I may be wrong on this, but I *think* Lime Rock's sound measurements happen at the start/finish line, which would be right next to the main straight.

Wow I was way behind in reading and had to catch up. Derb, if you're still interested in bushing opinions I would go with the poly over OEM and would stay well away from solid aluminium if you DD if at all. Congrats on the new rear end as well. Gonna be awesome.

Im surprised you read it all!

Thanks man. I think I will most likely stick to OEM. The car itself doesn't have much poly anywhere..I have E92 M3 mounts but RE tranny mounts which are all rubber. I think since I daily drive the car, its best to just keep it at OEM bushing or a stiffer rubber at most.

The rear end is arriving Feb 4th. Then its time to assess the the damages and what I need to buy that's missing (almost guaranteed from a salvage yard)

Kalim was talking to me and suggested M3 ZCP front brakes to replace the 135i brakes.

I looked at him and thought I just must do it too... for the 345mm rotors..

    So..

    Sell me the 135i bbk.

Buy some porsche calipers, get some rallyroad.net adaptors, and rock the M3 CSL rotors. Win, win for both of us!
