Tonight after hearing from my best friend (another ///M owner) I have decided to pursue my quest to get the BMW Performance Seats when I get the rest of my inheritance later on this spring/summer. Since he just purchased Recaro Sportster CS seats, I can't do the same so here I am planning to get these instead.... Crazy I know but life is short people....this won't happen in time for the reunion meet unfortunately but it will happen this year...

Of course, by then I will also have an awesome stereo to listen to when driving around

My heart hurts for your bank account. That said, I'm super envious. Those seats look amazing. Excited for you.

I got a laugh when I read this...one thing I have learned with recent life-changing events in my life is that life is too short. I'm given an opportunity to enjoy mine and I do this through both of my BMWs.

I update my project threads so that I can share the process with everyone but it was never my intention to get people jealous or envious of what I have been doing. Also my project threads aren't aimed at how I have been "bragging" about my cars so I want to get that point out of the way as well... With that said, I don't intend to stop modding either of my cars. If I am given opportunities to get items from other forum members and/or sponsors, I'm going to do it regardless. My ultimate goal is to improve both of my cars and bring them to their previous glory. (this paragraph isn't aimed at you Torx but others here....you know who you are)...

Both of my cars are "rescue" cars and they both deserve so much more I have always and will continue to appreciate all the positive support from everyone here and hopefully won't disappoint in the process

Well said. Admittedly, I have a problem with being tight. Takes me forever to pull the trigger on things normally. Perhaps I should have said "inspired" rather than "envious." I harbor no ill will, nor did I think you were bragging. I just long to be able to do everything I want to be able to do to my cars like I'm sure many others, including you, on here do. And I do enjoy your project threads. Especially bc I get sentimental missing my M3. I think those seats will be fantastic. I would love to see them in person at some point. Cheers to you buddy.

Torx, as I said my comments were not aimed towards you but I took the time to address something that has been bothering me about some people here on this forum for a few months now....I have gotten the word from a few people that there have been a few who had made references that I have been bragging about both of my cars through my project threads and I took serious offense to this. Here we are bashing other forums because of imature behavior and then I'm told that there are a few who felt I was bragging....talking about being in high school!!!

That is when I made the reference that I was no longer considering updating my project threads here but then I decided to continue on whether there are others who continue to be jealous or envious of what I do. It's on them... not me. They are the ones who have to deal with their issues...it's very unfortunate that I have to address this here but frankly I was taken by surprise. Perhaps what I have been saying in my past few posts will cause them to reconsider their behavior towards me, if not then the heck with them... saying you're jealous or envous but in a positive way is one thing but when you show it in other ways.....that's another....

There have been a few who have been very supportive and I know "they" are my true friends here on this forum. The ///M is the last car that both my parents have seen and ridden in so it has huge sentimental value to me. As a rescue, I have taken my time to do all my mods as clean as possible while retaining the true BMW styling. It doesn't help when my best friend, another ///M owner, continues to upgrade his ///M (recently getting Recaro Sportster CS seats) so I am pushed (not too hard I admit) to pursue getting the BMW Performance seats. Yes they cost a lot more but in the end I know I will be very happy with what I have done to my ///M. In the end that's what matters. It's not about getting everyone's permission to do what I am doing but rather showing others what options are available to them if they too desire to incorporate some or all the mods that I have done to my cars.

So I have said a lot here but what I am trying to say folks is that take what I have put in my project threads for what they are.... options for all of you to review and see if any of them would work for you! Have fun modding your BMWs when you are able to but please don't harbor ill feelings towards others who are able to do much more than you...

I can't put myself in others shoes who misunderstood your posts, but to me, it's clear that you are only expressing the love of your art (your car), sharing it with others, and offering up potential options for others to look at. I know this wasn't addressed to me, but I want to answer this to say it's not an issue on an enthusiast forum to be enthusiastic about your craft/your car. I like that you have that passion and want to share it. Some people may misunderstand that, but if they knew you they wouldn't. We'll all live through it. Mod on, and I'll continue to be (happily) jealous of your mods.
