Kalim found out that there are two blue plugs and more information about the MK60 vs the MK20 DSC system.

Looking in the ST034 pdf I find this for the MK60 DSC.

There are two types of sensors used in the rear axle of the E46:
    • The short sensor is used on the 325i (any transmission) and 330i automatic.
    • The long sensor is used on the 330i manual transmission version.

Doesn't say much about the M3 but if REALOEM is correct, it uses the short one like all other E46s except 330i manuals. . Looks like I need to find some spacers to run temporarily till I can get a set of wheel sensors.

    Grey Plug:
    inductive sensors
    Blue plug:
    magnetoresistive sensors

Oddly enough 330i manuals have one abs sensor. The rest of the cars autos/M3 use another blue plug sensor. how strange.
Yep, exactly what I was saying I read in the tech docs. It's weird how they singled out just the 330 manuals.

Minor setback. The wheel sensors for the 330i are significantly longer. I thought spacing them out meant like two washers or so. It looks to be more than that.

I'm going to order the abs sensors and just call it a day.

I may have to take you up on this and get it from you on monday.

Tuesday I've made an appointment with one of the old techs at work to replace the input seal on the diff. If I have a working speedo, awesome, if not, I can wait a little longer haha.
