Tempting. Maybe I'll buy parts piece by piece and create a shrine at home until the list is complete LOL

My parts from BMWpartstore come in last night.

    • Replaced my trunk handle weather gasket
    • Replaced intake mounting 10mm bolts x 2
    • Replaced rubber thing under stock intake

I also tested the TCU I just bought. It works well with my Moto X and my dad said I sounded loud n clear. I don't have any real need to keep this TCU as I tend to not talk on the phone in the car anyways (Too busy enjoying the car.) It will go to a better home soon (Charlie's ZHP).

I'm waiting on Joop's 10mm spacer so I can test out how much clearance during hard cornering in the rear. Hopefully its good enough and I will order a set for myself.

I think the mods is going to slow down for a bit now. The car is at a point where it's fanstastic to drive and fun at the track. I think maintenance will start to hinder up it's rear end soon as I am approaching 5 years owning this car and it's had some nice long hard miles.

    A few items need replacing:

    • Oil Level Sensor (Frequency count is 1-2 every few 1000 miles) Low priority as the yellow light doesn't illuminate yet.
    • Brake Duct Hoses (Torn on the drive side and will need a one) High Priority as it will be a problem if it fully tears and rubs on the wheels.
    • Tires on the Style 135 Rims. (Tires been on for almost 4 years now and it's finally reached the wear bar) Low Priority as I have ARC8s..and I don't daily drive.
    • Oil Pan gasket (I think it is the oil pan gasket leaking..) Medium Priority. I need to confirm that the oil pan gasket is the true source of the minor leak.
    • Fuel Filter (Approaching 50k) Low Priority. Not 100% necessary at this point but I do have the filter waiting on my workbench.
    • Vanos Repair Medium Priority. I would like to do it and hear the ZHP rattle disappear.

    Fluids to replace:
    • Coolant Flush
    • Oil Change
    • Brake Fluid Flush
    • Transmission Flush

It's a healthy list and I got a few parts to buy too.. :X

Explore the possibility that it's your oil filter housing gasket leaking before tackling the oil pan. OFHG can make one heck of a mess downwards of it and at your mileage I wouldn't doubt that it's toast.

No worries man. Thanks for looking out! I can't expect anyone else to know my car's maintenance record if it isn't posted here.

I'd thought I post some fitment pictures of the current rim situation.

    17x8.5 +40 245/40/17

    Front:
    12.5mm spacer (first 3 pics)

    Rear:
Rolled fenders and slightly pulled. It looks like I have about horizontal static 19mm of clearance. I know it won't rub on daily driving but I am questioning how it will perform during track days.

Looks great. Spacers really make a difference even if it's only 1.2cm
