I made mine today too. Bought a broken light off of eBay for $6. Had the cig adapter here at home already. Works like a champ.Should be easy.

After having my $10 bluetooth receiver I can say the reliability to connecting to my iPhone when I get into the car automatically is probably about 90%. I'm still trying to figure out why it sometimes doesn't see it. Maybe because of interference, range, or timing out since I have it in my glovebox and sometimes I don't go straight into the car after unlocking, thus turning on the power.

I think it's pretty straight forward. There should be a positive terminal and a negative terminal. I would just connect the DC adapter to both terminals in the flashlight and that should be it.

When you take it apart, just figure out which side is ground on the light and connect that to the ground on the adapter.

If you make the power in parallel with a plug, then you can have a flashlight and 12v power supply all in one! That's worth $500!
