Just remember; the CREE bulbs will make your radio static when they are on, so the radio will cut in and out as it blinks. The severity of it seems to vary; sometimes just a little static, other times it completely makes the radio static out. My friend who put them in his E36 had the same problem.

Personally I don't care; it's worth the light output. I would like to eliminate it somehow though, if at all possible...

I would've suspected that CREE would have a low RF emission but I guess that isn't the case. The electronic transformer on board must be switching at very high frequencies and not properly filtered. Well, good thing you mentioned this as I may have bought them. I wonder if we add ferrite cores onto the wiring for the corner lamps and turn signals will help reduce the radio interference.

I don't know if all of the bulbs of this type do this or not. I just know that the particular ones I have do.
It seems that Your Mileage May Vary when it comes to aftermarket bulbs like this. I don't know if perhaps there's a higher quality bulb available somewhere, though I figured for the price these have to be damned good. They were expensive; a pair was $50! The quality on them seems quite excellent from a build perspective.

    How would this be done?
If it involves splicing into wiring, I won't be doing this...

Look up Ferrite cores for RF. They are little round half cylinders you put over the wire and snap to make a full cylinder

Could one just be added over the whole harness bundle with no ill effects?

I would put it on the 12V line near the turn signal. I'm not sure how to do it on the tail-light though.

I think the only reason I like the clears at the moment is because they are BMW ECE. I like clears and ambers but I think clears work much better if I had silver wheels.

I think it looks great! I would just use regular bulbs, no sense messing with LEDs if it induces a problem with your radio...that would drive me bonkers!!

The Euro Clears are on my car at the moment and I have regular amber bulbs in there at the moment. I'll keep them on for a little bit before I decide if I want to keep them or get rid of them.
