Will do.
I just did a brake flush, raised the rear one coil thread, swap my brake pads to track pads. I modified my rebound dampening to be 75% stiff up front and 100% stiff in the rear. It's pretty jarring on bumps on the street but it seems pretty good on turns. Will have to try different settings when I go to the track.
I hope it doesn't rain.... haha.

I realized I forgot to mention I have an oil leak and I believe it's the oil pan gasket. I think it is time to install baffles in there while it is out.
Me too. Not too bad and could be the rear main seal. Leaving mine for now.

"ZHP is a garbage option anyway- just some cosmetic upgrades with a different cam and diff to claw back some of the performance lost fitting those hideous and heavy wheels. Any 330 with a 3.46 diff will smoke a ZHP every time. The whole Mafia thing reeks of childish behavior." - an e46f member
I would be very mad if my rear main seal is out as I replaced it back in 2012 when I did my clutch. The OPG looks like a pain in the ass to do at home. I'm almost at the point where I want to pay someone to do it. This is a larger task that I don't have the tools or want to buy.
I'm leaning towards the VAC baffle.

It requires welding regardless so I may get my buddy to do it for me. I'm not sure what I want to do yet as installing the baffle will increase some downtime with the pan off.
Either way, this Saturday is Laguna!I'm excited. It's been a year since I've gone to any track and I just bought an xbox one to play some forza to hype myself even more.
I think the biggest thing is the ZHP has seen some neglect since I changed multiple jobs that involved alot of commuting. I need to find a job that is closer..
GL!

Saturday I participated in a Open Track Day at Laguna Seca Raceway. It's been 3 years since I last came here and I had a few modifications since then.
The biggest changes :
-M3 Rear End
-30mm Front Sway Bar
-Stoptech Brakes
-Downsize from 18s to 17s
Overall the day was pretty awesome. It was cold so my Star Spec Z1s were not loving it at all. 1st session, T3 was showing a small river patch and my group was the first session out at 9am. I watched the row of cars ( I was probably 5th or so in line) and as we all left the pit to hit T3, we all started drifting out cause of the little wet spot right at the apex. It was hilarous and fun cause all the cars suddenly dropped to 7/10ths of what that first initial acceleration was. Anyways I hit my personal best at 1:49.17 besting my old PB of 1:50.xx 3 years ago. There was some learning to do as the gear ratios were far shorter and I could be up one gear from my previous outing. Anyways, on with the pictures and videos!
5:30am Drive to Laguna. 2 hour drive on my own there. It was nice and crisp weather. 34F. You can see how short the gearing is on the M3 Rear end.
I filled up at a random chevron in Salinas and there was no one in sight..
Pits was about 40F!! at 7:30am.
A GT4 Sighting! He was prepping for sound check. Stock Porsches don't even meet the requirements...
Terrible picture of my ride.
Another baller car sighting. Viper ACR. This one is owned by one of my track buddies who used to have a GTR, NSX..etc list goes on.
One of my good friends E39 540i. He is on RE71Rs and has been pummeling the competition in his class.
More of the Viper. That X-brace is huge!
Guess what? There was another ACR.
Another rare car. This one is in the signature jaguar blue.
This one pulls to my old school honda days. It's 96 era EK + K20 on Koseis.
The price tag in this picture is unreal.
I'll take any one of the Porsche GTx
Mmm ACR.
This hole is to allow the hot air to escape to reduce lift.
Few Boy racer dream cars (including mine)
Rouge Engineering's old 330ti was out and about too.
This M4 suffered some damage from T4 and oversteering into the inner wall.
Few cheeses from my car![]()
Farewell Laguna!! It's been a blast. Till next time. Hopefully it won't be so long between visits.
