Looks like they did a poor job packaging it. Then a list job taping the box.
No fragile labels wither so box was thrown around.
Good luck.
Thanks, exactly my thoughts as well. If they contact me and offer to resend what I paid for I will stress to them to do a much better job packaging their product to ensure it does not get damaged because they did such a poor job on this one...
What a shame. Hope they treat you right.
Thumbs, iPhone, Tapatalk.
Agreed, one can only hope these days......it would be nice if someone lived close by to drop by there and represent a fellow mafia member...

I've seen USPS treat packages like shit. Not saying they all do it, but it wouldn't surprise.
Hope you get a speedy and free replacement.

Chuck, my most recent experience with their poor service:
USPS.
I was shipping a package out for Daniel today (kakashi), and the computer behind the counter was being weird. So the guy behind the counter moved to a difference machine. The desk at the new machine was covered with boxes that said "fragile" all over them. ALL over them; whoever was shipping them obviously wants care to be taken.
This guy just takes them all these boxes and pulls them off the counter letting them crash to the ground, then kicks them to the side to make room for him to stand. He then does the same for a bag with some clothes in it. Just throws it to the ground. Right in front of me.
What a jerk. I hate the fact that other options are usually more expensive, especially going to Canada. I'd pay a $10 premium to avoid USPS without a second thought.

I just talked to Eric at Tekarbon sales and he told me that they will send me an email to resend this damaged item. In the mean time, they are out of stock on this item and will be producing another batch at which time they will send me a new item as a direct replacement to the damaged item I received. I will be keeping in touch with them regarding this throughout the process until I have received a perfect condition replacement.
Right now it seems their customer service is good :thumbsup I will just have to be patient and wait a little bit longer.....

I got ahold of the sales staff at Tekarbon and this is what was sent via email after my discussion with them. It goes to show if you have a level head and just be nice while talking you can get far. I have a good feeling that I will be buying something else from them once this is all behind me. I was pleased with the outcome :thumbsup

It's easy to look at it that way Rando but I look at it as if it's worth having then sometimes it's worth being patient to work out all the kinks until you finally get what you're going for :thumbsup Right now things look good but the proof is in the pudding so to speak. I'll wait till I have the product I ordered in perfect condition before passing judgment but what I can say is that it looks good so far :thumbsup

From what I understand, the rear calipers are bigger but they use the same mounting points so it's a simple swap. The rear rotors are the same diameter. I should have no issues mounting them.

Nice! What does it take to upgrade to M3 brakes on a sedan? I'm assuming it's all the brake equipment plus the knuckle? Might be a good upgrade, since I don't need a BBK.

Front kingpins and tie rods from the m3 are needed. The rear requires the hubs and new ebrake shoes n cables.
It's a lot of work for the stock m3 brakes. I would do it for more options for bbk

That's correct Derek. The rear ZCP brake caliper pistons are bigger than the standard ///M rear caliper which is why I have to program the ZCP option after installing them on my ///M. I got that part. :)

I did a brief search on the ZCP brake upgrade and from my understanding, this is what you need for the standard M3 --> ZCP brakes
Front:
ZCP Caliper Brackets
ZCP Rotors
Rear:
ZCP Caliper Brackets
ZCP Calipers
ZCP Rotors
Notes:
The front calipers are identical and use a 60mm Piston.
The rear calipers uses a 46mm Piston vs the 42mm Piston on the standard M3.
For a swap to a non-M, I would need to look more on exactly what is needed. I know Kalim changed out a few things for his front brake setup. He did the kingpins and wheel bearings/hubs, and M3 control arms and tie rods. I'm not sure if the control arms are necessary.

Turns out I won't have to worry too much about cleaning my calipers since a good friend has offered to have them powder coated....they will be cleaned just before they get powder coated. I'll be going with either the glossy black or flat black. Right now I am leaning going with the glossy black but I have time to change my mind...:)

black is the cleanest color when clean. It is the fastest color to find dirt though..
I prefer that my ZHP not look loud or that unique at first glance. I like the car to be more subtle and those who know, will know. ie. Black Stoptechs, or the euro fog switch, or the hidden brake ducts, or the M3 rear end, or the E92 AutoDim Mirror etc etc.

Derek,
I'm in agreement regarding being subtle but with my ///M there's not much there regarding being subtle ;)
I'm in the mindset that unless you do a "proper" BBK, its better to paint the calipers a more subtle color as not to bring too much attention to them. I didn't realize this point when I painted my OE calipers red :facepalm

Well, if its a purely visual preference I can understand that. Both work better than the stock brakes... but the StopTech aren't even close to the same level of tech as the GT-R's. Those brakes are probably worth more than my ZHP and all mods if I was to part it out. The mere 4 piston kit starts at $14,995... 8 piston version is what I'll install on my eventual M3 track car

4-piston kit @ close to $15k is crazy unless you're seriously racing. For street use I for one would never spend that much money on brakes when the complete StopTech kit can be had to under $9k...
Even that amount of money can be looked at as crazy. I think that's why I jumped on the CSL/ZCP brake upgrade for $500... a huge win for me right now... ;)

Not sure Derek but I managed to source this from a forum member at E46Fanatics. These were new - never used and I had to get this for the ///M.
With the Intravee II you get the following features to your car:
1) Best iPod interface for the car
2) Programable buttons
3) Automatic clock setting based on GPS
4) Graphical display of the parking distance control sensors on the nav screen, automatically enabled when you put the car in reverse
5) Automatic folding up of side mirrors, if you have power fold mirrors
6) Data logging of your car when you drop it off at the dealership/shop-- including if it was revved out when cold!
7) Updatable firmware with new features added regularly
8) No glitchiness!
9) Support for many alpine devices-- MP3 CD changers, HD radio, sirius, xm, etc etc.
Just waiting to acquire the Alpine PXA-H100 sound processor, when connected to the Intravee II it will trick the OE nav computer into thinking an OEM DSP sound processor is connected for full control through the factory MKIV UI. This is what I'm going for to complete my stereo upgrade Kyle did for me last spring :thumbsup

true.....
iPhone pictures are superior to Android ones because the quality of the lens is far greater.
I think that's an over-reaching generalization. There are hundreds of different pieces of hardware running Android, and many of them have comparable or better cameras. Personally, I use iPhones, even though I've tried using Android phones on numerous occasions. Different cameras excel in different situations. When I had the Nexus 4 and iPhone 5, I found that the iPhone's camera was far superior in indoor (poor lighting) conditions, but the Nexus 4 was just as good in good light. It's all relative and depends on what your application is.
I've never considered a phone to be a replacement for a camera - it's merely a "passable" convenience when you have nothing else to shoot with. Although I have plenty friends that'll argue 'til their deaths that the iPhone 5 is the best camera that has ever graced this planet, and will point out hundreds of restricted, biased reviews that will confirm their opinions. My point & shoot Canon SD1400IS takes consistently better photos than my iPhone 5 (and forget the DSLR comparison), but I almost never have it with me, whereas the phone is glued to me. Convenience.

I agree with this...you can't compare any cell phone camera to any DSLR... It happens to be much more convenient to take pics using your cell phone camera though...

The differece is that this one is the same as the OEM CSL diffuser (1x1 carbon fiber weave). It will be replacing the current diffuser which has the 2x2 carbon fiber weave. Getting this tonight took me completely by surprise!

Seeing that the CSL has this diffuser panel painted around the carbon fiber it only makes sense to do the same but in this case TiAg. :) Dario, my preference is to do the same as the CSL...

Tonight my good friend Brian hooked me up with an interior LED lighting kit for my ///M. Turns out the light output from these LEDs did not complement his Imola interior so he immediately thought of my ///M's black interior and offered them to me. Derek,
Challenge makes this panel. They produced the carbon fiber roof panels for the 1M and current ///M5 :) I feel going with them is the way since they produced OEM CF roofs for BMW :)

First part I have acquired is the roof support beam that will be welded to the car for additional support of the new roof panel: P/N: 41 32 8 242 075
next are the roof mouldings
P/N: 51 13 7 897 926 (R)

All we need is a demand and a blank sedan roof panel. I'm sure we could get Challenge to produce a run for Mafia members only. I can't imagine the price tag...but I'm sure we could stand a chance.
It's not fair that the sedan didn't get any love from the M division :(

maybe...I've been getting a lot of questions about it from sedan owners ever since I set up the Challenge cf roof GB for our cars. Only thing is, with sedans they are more likely to want a 50% deposit upfront before even producing a mold or a first roof (which i'm sure most people won't put down lol). I forgot what the minimum number of people required is though. if this were to happen though, it would be later on in the year when the coupe roofs have slowed in production/demand.

Yeah. I definitely don't have the cash to spearhead something like that. However if there is enough demand I could probably push enough dope to amass the right amount. (Kidding)

Yeah I think there's some demand. But iono sedan owners do not have a good track record when it comes to GBs I would totally make sure people send me a deposit before I make anything too lol But I think it would be easier for people to part with their money since they already know of Challenge's quality. Not like mines where everyone was skeptical and I basically funded the project myself lol
Honestly, when I got my roof and saw the quality, I didn't want anyone else to get it. Looks way too nice, I don't want more people to have it. They can get the Evolve one lol

Thanks Derek....the ZCP rotors ended up being Euro cross-drilled Performance rotors for the ///M. I didn't know this but based on the cross drill pattern the ZCP/CSL rotors are 4 3 3 4 pattern and mine are just 4 4 4 4 pattern...

This is the S54 engine cover ordered from Tekarbon...quality part for sure but kinda iffy on their packaging. Seems the person packing this item did it in a hurry. At least it appeared that way when I looked at the box....not much package tape to ensure the box would remain intact but in this case, the box was in one piece :thumbsup

Today ended up being a great day and I decided to install my Tekarbon engine cover first thing this morning before Botond came up to assist setting up my dedicated BMW diagnostic computer while I finish up wrapping up Sean's CSL boot lid for shipment.
if you remember... I ordered this engine cover from Tekarbon back in January and it arrived damaged during shipment. A very huge letdown but I could immediately see from the undamaged part that this engine cover was a quality product so I gritted it out and waited until Tekarbon could get another made up and sent out. I can only say that I'm glad I stuck it out because the part that arrived yesterday was just as nice in quality :thumbsup The pictures below show the quality of this part. :)

I drove over 150 miles today, took my daughter out to lunch at her favorite restaurant and enjoyed every moment driving my ///M. Got home and my engine cover still looked perfect with my ///M sitting in the garage.... since today was in the 30's (brrrrr cold yet again) I figured I will wash the ///M over next weekend if weather improves. Car is sitting perfect right now....all I need to do is have it cleaned and polished :)
New CSL diffuser panel is now at my friend's body shop for paint and the ///M, for the most part, will remain in the garage until I get the new diffuser panel installed. Sean will have his Scorza boot lid mounted on his ///M well before I get my diffuser panel...so in the end Sean's ///M will be looking awesome as well as mine after I install my new diffuser panel :biggrin

Great stuff Charlie. What exactly is 'programming in M track mode'?

Rando, M Track Mode is best explained like this…. its great for spirited street driving and lets you get the tires loose just enough to have a little fun without having to worry about losing control.
In other words... you want to hit it coming out of a parking lot, get the rear to slide a little and burn some rubber as you take off. With DSC on, pretty much as soon as you punch it, DSC will cut power. With M-Track Mode... it allows you spin the tires and slide the back out as you go on your way without the possibility of going overboard and losing control...

Another project surfaced for my ///M this evening....SURPRISE SURPRISE!!!!!
I will be retrofitting PDC to my ///M. I'm in the process of sourcing a PDC bumper w/ sensors in TiAg, PDC module, and PDC wiring loom...
Once I have sourced these items I plan to do this sometime in June when the weather is warmer ;) Still working towards "my perfect ///M".

Terra is looking to do this project as well so I'm keeping tabs on his PDC retrofit thread and have PM'd him as well. It will be work and I realize this but I have already taken everything out of my ///M before so I'm not as hesitant in doing so again, if need be...;) I have PDC on my ZHP and love this feature so I will be looking to retrofitting PDC on my ///M as well. All part of "building" my perfect ///M :thumbsup
