You have a replica means it isn't an exact copy. There maybe minor differences to cause that change? I never heard a Simota intake in person before so I wouldn't be able to tell you. Sorry bud.

How do you like yours Derbo?
It's a nice intake. It could do away with the carbon kevlar look to it but I like the noise it makes. Any "HP" gain is a plus. One problem I noticed is the rubber trim piece sits on the metal bracket that bolts up to the headlights. It tends to grind away at the rubber trim over time. That is nothing more than a comestic issue.

CDV is the best thing i've removed. Best part of the mod was that it was FREE!! Clutch is more direct and it feels like I can chirp 2nd with my track tire setup which would've never been able to do with the CDV in. I'm very happy with deleting it. I don't really see any downfall in removing it if you know how to drive stick on any other car.

Overall setup of the car feels fantastic. The new dunlops are getting some miles on time before I start taking them out for a more spirited drive. The car is getting to the point where it's a great daily driver and only maintenance is left to upkeep. I think the only thing left I could possible do, would be a LSD. Hopefully next year.

thanks guys. Hopefully I can get the car cleaned up and get some real pictures.

Car mods will come to a halt while I get squared away at the new job. ASIC Design is no joke..
