Thanks BP. That's exactly what I have except it ran an update. I am running a virtual machine in my Mac on parallels dedicated to only diagnostics. Now, Updates have been disable as well as antivirus. Internet has been disabled on it as well.

I wanted something as clear as possible and Airblue80 blocks out 10% more light than 3M 90. Also, reading reviews of Airblue80 (and looking at a ton of pictures comparing tints), there were a few people who didn't like the blue tint that this tint gave them. I thought that might bother me as well so I just coughed up the money for 3M. 3M also offers a wide range of their crystalline line, from 90 all the way down to 50, I believe.

If you don't mind sharing what price range are we looking at for the 3m crystalline? $400?

hah. Well in San Francisco everything is twice as expensive as it should be. That might be for the windshield only, for example. You might be able to get it cheaper. I had all my windows done, including the windshield and sunroof. I don't remember the exact figure but it was well over $1000.

    You.Got.Screwed.

Dude, are you EFFING serious??? That is absolutely ridiculous, no matter how clear it is! I mean, you get what you want and spend your money how you will, but still man, I gotta let you know... I got quoted about $300 for ALL windows, windshield, and the sunroof... The windows were all done in Llumar FormulaOne 30%, and I was going to do the windshield and sunroof in the Airblue 80. I skipped those until I replace the windshield, so I spent less...

Even if 3M was better, it isn't worth that kind of money... And I live in a state that has bright sun and heat all year round...

My goodness Antone, my heart just skipped a beat reading that...

Maybe in Florida? I called multiple places in the Bay Area. Everything was crazy expensive. Go ahead and feel bad for me but hope you don't lose a lot of sleep over it. I don't have a mortgage or kids. I got a great job that allows me to buy lots of toys for the car. So I'm cool. Thanks for caring though. :-)

Haha, that's all good man... I'm glad to hear you did your shopping around, and I'm quite upset to hear that tint is that expensive over there. There is NO reason for that... The material and process are the same from FL to CA... Stupidness...

As for not having kids and mortgage and big income, congrats... That's a good thing to have I suppose!

I agree. And its not just tint, man. Honestly it was a decent amount cheaper in san jose but....its san jose. Im in SF. Ill pay extra for convenience. So, trancenation, I see you are in the Bay Area too. Call some places on the peninsula or the south bay. Youll be able to do better than me for sure. Just make sure you check the 3M website and make sure the place is a certified 3M dealer so you can get the lifetime warranty.

Aw, dont say thats a good thing. You got a beautiful house and family. It just is what it is. I own a house already (with my brother), I just dont have a mortgage Kids maybe someday. Ill start small though....maybe a cat? haha.
